Hounds To Horses provides "socialized" boarding which is best suited for small dogs of moderate to lower energy levels.
All doggy guests get to stay and play at our home. They can lounge outside in our fully fenced play yard, or hangout inside our home... the choice is theirs! Limiting the number of dogs allows our in-home setting to cater to your dog’s comfort and happiness centered on Quality over Quantity, ensuring your pup has a safe and PAWtastic time here with us!

Dog Boarding is offered in our home, 7 days per week (by appointment only) for moderate to lower active dogs who are able to live peacefully in a group situation.

*How We Charge:

All fees are paid IN ADVANCE of service start date, through our online portal system.

Overnight guests are charged per night (like a hotel). The day you check-in (by appointment) counts as the first night regardless of check-in time.

Multi-dog discount only applies to dogs from same home.

Final day standard check-out time is by 10am at NO added charge.

Late Check-Out: Dogs departing from 10am - close on the final day will only be charged a discounted Daycare Fee (instead of a full Boarding Fee).

Arrivals: All dog must arrive 1-hour prior to closing time to get them settled in properly.
Dog Daycare is not available Sat or Sun.

HOLIDAY BOARDING PREMIUMS: During Peak Holiday times, there is an additional $5.00 per night/ per dog charge. These apply during the following times:

Are We A Good Fit For YOUR Dog?
All dogs must be interviewed prior to acceptance. Proof of current shots as well as be on a Flea/Tick program must be presented in order to stay. All guest dogs accepted must be able to live peacefully with other dogs, be non-aggressive, and be potty trained.
We now only accepts dogs of Moderate to Lower energy levels.
Small and senior dogs are welcome! All dogs MUST be able to co-exist appropriately in a group of dogs, not dig or climb fences, not continually bark or whine, and must have general good manors. Most dogs are social creatures and like to play with other dogs, but many dogs may get overwhelmed at a facility with too many dogs.

We suggest you may want to work with a trainer to correct any unwanted behaviors prior to coming to us...we are Pet "Sitters", and not Pet "Trainers". :)
Dogs that are NOT a good fit for us include:

dogs that don't fare well in a group setting,

dogs that are extreme high energy,

dogs that have no basic training skills,

dogs that are destructive chewers

dogs that cry or whine when left unattended

dogs who constantly "mark" their area

puppies under 1 year old
Their needs are greater than we can provide for here, as this is our home.

At night we close the doggy door to outside and the pups pull up a comfy dog bed, couch, or crate (upon request) to snuggle down for the night with us! All dogs sleep inside our home with us. Your pup can pick a spot in our home to sleep that suites them:

They can join the mush-pot and grab a comfy bed or couch and sleep with the pack.

We offer a few large crates for those who are crate trained.

We offer X-pen private areas for those who prefer a bit more secluded area.
