Hounds To Horses
SOCIALIZED DOG BOARDING
We believe that pets prefer to be with real people, in real homes.
Hounds To Horses offers an alternative to kennels providing individualized attention, a welcoming environment, and cage-free stays in our home. We will truly make your tail wag!
Due to the cage-free environment, we are open by APPOINTMENT ONLY.
Your pet is a member of your family...like a fur-person! It is our mission to make sure that every guest in our facility is pampered and feels completely loved while their family is away. We have removed the elements that cause stress from boarding and pride ourselves on providing top quality care at Hounds To Horses.
We provide "socialized" boarding which is best suited for dogs of average to lower energy levels, where all doggy guests get to romp outside in our fenced backyard, or hangout inside our home...the choice is theirs! Our home is set up to cater to your dog’s comfort. The number of dogs we take is limited to 6, so we can provide your dog(s) with a quality stay! Additionally, there is no direct access to any front exterior door, ensuring your pup has a safe and PAWtastic time here with us.
Due to several knee injuries, we are no longer able to accommodate high-energy dogs. We must now limit our services to small and older dogs only.

Janean is awesome! First time boarding both our dogs together. They were so happy and well cared for here. No chance we would go anywhere else. Plenty of love and attention... plenty of room to play... total peace of mind. Loved getting picture updates on how our dogs were doing while we were gone. Highest recommendation!

Are We A Good Fit For YOUR Dog?
All dogs must be interviewed prior to acceptance. Proof of current shots as well as be on a Flea/Tick program must be presented in order to stay. All guest dogs accepted must be able to live peacefully with other dogs, be non-aggressive, and be potty trained.
Our place only accepts dogs of Average to Lower energy levels.
Small and senior dogs are welcome! All dogs MUST be able to co-exist appropriately in a group of dogs, not dig or climb fences, not continually bark or whine, and must have general good manors. Most dogs are social creatures and like to play with other dogs, but many dogs may get overwhelmed at a facility with too many dogs.
Most dogs are social creatures and like to play with other dogs, but many dogs may get overly excited in our group environment. We can only provide accommodations for pets that are well socialized. We suggest you may want to work with a trainer to correct any unwanted behaviors prior to coming to us...we are Pet "Sitters", and not Pet "Trainers". :)
Dogs that are NOT a good fit for us include:
dogs that don't fare well in a group setting,
dogs that are extreme high energy,
dogs that have no basic training skills,
dogs that are destructive chewers
dogs that cry or whine when left unattended
dogs who constantly "mark" their area
puppies under 1 year old
Their needs are greater than we can provide for here, as this is our home.
WHAT TO BRING:
Your pet's food (pre packaged) for overnight boarding
