HUSTON QUARTER HORSES

AQHA Halter: Evaluates conformation of the American Quarter Horse as a breed. Halter classes are divided by age and sex. Horses are shown with a leather halter and are traveled before the judges so that lameness and quality of movement can be evaluated. Horses are judged on balance, structural correctness, breed and sex characteristics and degree of muscling. Of these, balance is the most important.

On the local show circuit, look for Hannah Butler in Youth Halter, and Janean Huston in Open Halter with Sucha Big Splash (aka: Bud) at the PVRA & SCPHA shows. Bill Huston and Clarissa Heggelund will be showing Invest In A Hottie (aka: Jake) in Western Pleasure and Green Horse classes.

Both Bill and Janean will show at the AQHA breed shows with Sucha Big Splash in Open and Amateur Halter, Aged Geldings while Tara rode our 3 year old stallion, Invest In A Hottie in Walk/Jog Pleasure.
